Welcome to Anavil Samaj Australia!
Anavil Samaj Australia was incorporated with the Department of Fair Trading (NSW)
on the 24th December 2002. Currently the Samaj has more than 50 members in Sydney,
NSW alone and across Australia it is estimated that there are more than 100 Anavil
families.
The history of Anavils traces back to our ancestors, who ruled the area from Vapi
River to Tapi River, in Gujarat, India. The origin of Anvils in Australia is not
clearly documented but it is believed that the first Anavil may have arrived into
Australia some 30 years ago.
Since inception in 2002, the members of the Samaj have been meeting regularly and
celebrating our traditional festival-Diwali, holding picnics and statutory committee
meetings during the year.
The ethos of Anavil Samaj Australia are based on three key principles which are
stated in our logo – Sahakar (Cooperation), Samanvay (Integration) and Seva (Service).
The logo also represents an artistic impression of the Sydney Opera House – Sydney
being the place where the Anavil Samaj Australia is incorporated. The green and
gold colours in the logo represent the national colours of Australia.
